RAFTING - Cusipata/Chuquicahuana
(2 days / 1 night)
Along its route, the river Urubamba offers different sections with levels of rapids type III and IV in the dry season, reaching its maximum level type V in the rainy season. Besides this great adventure brought by the water of such river, we may enjoy the beautiful sightseeing, worth of admiration.
1ST DAY
At 9:00 a.m. we will pick you up from your hotel. Then, in our private bus, we will go to the lagoon of Urcos, site where the guide will impart us a security measures talk. After it, we will practice a little bit, and then have a picnic in order to continue, there after, towards the location of Cusipata, where our exciting adventure will start. We will cross rapids type II and III, staying an average of two hours in the river. At the end of the section, we will return to the camping site at the lagoon of Urcos. Our day will end at dinner time with some talk about next day's schedule.
2ND DAY
After an energetic breakfast we will go to the location of Chuquicahuana to have another sensational rafting day. We will need the support of a security kayak due to the difficult level the river's section presents, reaching a level type IV in the dry season and V in the rainy season. We will stay in the river at least two hours. After the river crossing, the bus will take us back to the camping site, to enjoy a delicious barbeque. Then we shall return to the city of Cusco.
