TRADITIONAL CUSCO
BASIC CUSCO
(4 days / 3 nights)
This is a great way of getting to know Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machupicchu and practicing rafting, in in one program. We will have a city tour, visit towns along the Sacred Valley, witness the breathtaking citadel of Machupicchu, and then dare the waters of the river Urubamba with rafting practices.
1ST DAY: CITY TOUR
We will pick you up from the airport to accommodate you in your hotel. The first day we will have a city tour, visiting Cusco Cathedral, Temple of the Sun, Qenqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay.
2ND DAY: SACRED VALLEY
We will leave early at 8:45 a.m., after picking you up from your hotel. The second day we will have a guided visit to the majestic Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop will be at Pisaq, visiting the market place and the archeological park. Then we will go to Urubamba and Ollantaytambo, staying there for three hours. At 8:00 p.m. we will take the train towards the Village of Aguas Calientes, arriving there after about two hours. We will spend the night in a hotel at the village.
3RD DAY: MACHUPICCHU
Very early, after breakfast, we will leave in the direction to the archeological park of Machupicchu, where we will enjoy the sunrise. Then we will have a guided tour for about two hours. After it we will enjoy three hours of free time. At 4:00 p.m. we will take the return-train to Cusco, arriving there at about 8:30 p.m.
4TH DAY: RAFTING
We will start our adventure at 9:00 a.m., going in a private bus, until Cusipata, a sector of the river Urubamba. In this site we will cross rapids of levels II and III+, for about three hours. At 5:30 p.m. we will return to the city of Cusco.
